How Old am I?

So I woke up Monday morning and I felt like I had been involved in some sort of drunken brawl the night before. The knuckles in both my right and left hands were all swollen and extremely painful. Not one to care about pain too much I went about my day, night, however by Tuesday night the pain was so bad that I bascially couldn't use my left hand.

At this point my respect for people with arthritis is basically through the roof, because this type of pain is awful. You can't do anything without your hands! So yesterday I went in to Dr. Behl's (my local oncologist), and had a full work-up, bloodwork, blood cultures (to check for viruses, bacterial infections, etc.). He wasn't sure what was wrong, but he thinks it may be some sort of viral infection, if not I get to go see a rheumatologist (joint doctor) yay! The pain has subsided a bit today, but only because I have been icing my hands on and off all day.

The pain has made it a little difficult to get as much work done as I would like, but things are going along well. I'm furiously trying to finish some experimental work, before beginning to type my master's thesis. I'm also taking one class, that has some tough homework's and exams, but it's all in day's work! My goal is to buckle down and finish this semster, then take the winter off and ski! Will keep you updated as things progress.
