C like a V

The Relay for Life donations keep pouring in! Thanks to all who have contributed, everybody seems to be getting excited for the upcoming event, and we're getting pretty close to reaching our fundraising goal. Awesome stuff. We have a total of 6 teams under our banner, with one of them leading all of RPI in funds raised:

Things in Clifton Park are nice and quiet, and I've been on a steady regiment of rest, eating, reading, and figuring out how to update TurboTax, which may in fact be tougher than learning the actual tax law and figuring out the deductions on my own. I seem to have finally figured it out though, and not too soon as our April 17th deadline is fast approaching.

I am enjoying the free time though, for the first time in my life I have enough time in the morning to actually read the entire newspaper, and it seems as though the effects of the chemotherapy are subsiding, because for the past month and a half I would read a couple paragraphs, look up and think to myself, "What did I just read?". Some doctor's call this "chemo-brain", it feels like the clinical equivalent of ADD, I just hope it isn't permanent.

My strength is coming back very slowly, but I've gained back another 2-3 lbs over the past 2 weeks, which I'm happy with. I had a doctor's appointment last Wednesday, just a check-up. I'm told my chest X-ray looked good, and they couldn't find any other problems, so I'm scheduled to head back down next week sometime.
