Done!

I've finally finished this long and arduous journey through graduate school! This past semester has been a bit of blur trying to crank out a thesis, but the majority of my school was difficult for reasons which had very little to do with academics, and for this I'm very excited to be done!

I had my thesis approved a week ago, and filed it with the graduate division, took a final, gave a final presentation, and cleared out my desk. All of which felt great! Thanks to everyone who's been by my side to get me through it.

Over the past 2 weeks I also managed to catch my first cold in about 2 years. It was a bit of a sinus infection, where I had a runny nose, cough, and lots of achyness. At first I was freaking out a bit, since these are all symptoms of cancer, but when I realized it was just a cold I was relieved. My beat up immune system and I have been working hard to fight it off, but it's still lingering a bit 2 weeks after getting it, however I'm viewing this cold as another sign of returning back to "normal", if that's possible.

I'm back in New York for the Holidays, and looking forward to seeing all my family, and friends which are still around (give me a ring if you are). I also have another Doc's appointment at Sloan on 1/3. I have another CT scan, EKG and a Pulmonary Function Test for my heart, and lungs, to check for any long term damage. I'm feeling very confident about these.

Happy Holidays,
-Jeff
