So Round 2 is in the books, and this treatment has nearly landed a knockout punch. I went into the hospital last Thursday and it's been a bit of a blur since. 3 days of treatment weren't too bad though, and I was released Saturday night. The last couple of days have been a bit harsh though. I've definetely been struggling to eat, and take in fluids, due to the nausea, and general drugged up feeling. However, today has been a bit better, and I'm hopeful that each passing day I'll sober up a little more.
It's the last week of classes right now, but I've been sitting this one out, and hopefully can start to play catch-up next week, which is the start of finals. Luckily most my Prof's have been understanding, and I'll have a little lee-way on getting things squared up for the semester.
I should be back in NY the on 12/18, and will work with my new doctor in NYC that week to figure out the schedule for the remaining treatments. It'll be up to us to figure out where I'll have my radiation done, and when the stem cell transplant will take place (roughly sometime late Jan). There's also a chance I'll get another round of chemo beforehand, but I'm hoping not :) I'll be sure to keep everybody posted on things.
Thanks to everyone for their concerned calls, emails, and blogs, and forgive me if I don't get back to you immediately, it's been a rough couple of days.
-Jeff
