Another semester has begun here at Cal. The last week has been pretty hectic, while trying to settle into a new place, figuring out what classes I'd like to take, and catching up with everyone who was gone for the summer. It's shaping up to be a fun semester though.
I finally had my port out last week, and it couldn't have come any sooner. It's nice to have it out, as it has put a little stamp on the completion of 12 cycles of chemo. Nothing is ever completely smooth, and as such the surgeon used a special glue to seal up the incision, and then didn't wait for it to dry before putting the bandage on. So it works out that I have a bandage glued to my chest. They tell me the glue should eventually fall off, which has yet to be confirmed.
Otherwise I'm feeling much better. I've been riding the bike, running, camping with friends, and drinking a few more pints then I probably should be, but I'm playing catch-up so we'll let it slide :) This weekend it's more of the same, and I'll try to post some pics of the adventures. For now, I'll just throw up the pic of Sproul Plaza, the main loitering area on campus. Take Care!
