A little good news...

Hey Gang,

Sleep is a little elusive after treatment #7 so I suppose I'll throw down a post. The treatment was business as usual, though each time I go back I feel a little more nauseous, I hope I make it through the regimen with my lunch intact.

Alternatively, I got the results of my PET scan, and the cat seems fine.

I wasn't able to talk to Doc Wolf, but the head nurse practitioner went over the results and translated the medical terminology. To summarize, it's mostly good news. All of my previously identified lymph nodes are reducing in size, and appear to be non-avid and malignant (not growing). There are several still in my neck, underarms, chest, and liver, but are no larger than 8mm. I was happy to hear all of this, and was planning on being really angry if this chemo wasn't working.

I'm encouraged by this but still cautiously optimistic for the next couple months, because the chemo is really harsh.

On a brighter note, Pops and I made it to SBC/AT&T/Your-Telecom-Company-Here Park for a Giants-Mets game. We sat behind Bonds, saw him hit #710, and watched the Mets make short work of the Giants in a 4-1 win. Thanks to Mike for the tix.

I greatly appreciate the calls, emails, and cards, it's a big part of me getting through all this sane. Apologies if I'm slacking on any responses.

Talk to everyone soon,
Jeff
